NY: Charles Scribner's Sons, 1893. Hardcover, [viii], 253 pages. Good+ condition. Cameo edition. Size 6.625"x4.125". Green cloth w/cameo on front, gilt title on spine. Top edge gilt. This edition contains 4 new letters not previously published (to John, Knox, Increase Mather, Homer, and Samuel Pepys). Moderate exterior wear (rubbed extremities, light soiling). Frontis portrait browning. Final page has a small (3/8") closed tear on the top edge, interior text else Near Fine, clean and unmarked.. First Thus. Good+.
