[Paris: De l'Imprimerie du Magazin Encyclopédique, n.d., ca. 1795]. First French Edition. Octavo (22.5cm.); stitched self-wrappers; 24pp. Uncut margins a bit worn and toned, else Very Good and sound. Plaintive letter addressed to the Polish exiles in France in the wake of the Third Partition of Poland, which ended Polish-Lithuanian sovereignty and an independent Polish state until World War I. Text concludes with the plea, "Citizens, this is our cause; let us bring it forward to the world tribunal, to the tribunal of the French people: justice will hear us, her power will save us" (p. 24, our translation). OCLC locates no copies outside the UK or Europe as of May, 2020.
