About This Item

Vienne: Chez Jean-Thomas De Trattnern. Good with no dust jacket. 1774. Full-Leather. Bound in mottled full-leather, with raised bands on the spine. Top of the spine is rubbed, with separation on either side for the first inch. Interior is fine to very fine, except for the front. Some scum-of-the-earth idiot decided to repair what was probably a loosening hinge by glueing the gutter of the endpapers & title page, then writing (in pencil, thankfully) his idea of the bibliographic history of the book on the endpapers. 2/3 of the front endpaper has been removed and there is an early bookplate inside the front cover. All 250+ engravings are very nice, with no foxing. ; 5 1/2 x 8 1/2" .
