St. Louis: N.D. Thompson, 1881. 2nd. Hardcover. Bound in publisher's original black cloth with cover stamped in gilt. Spine lettering worn off. Front and back cover boards have bumping in fore corners with considerable fraying at extremities. Spine is worn through the cloth with considerable fraying. Inner hinges are detaching, binding cloth is still holding. Text bloc shaken but still holding. Endsheets in front and back are separated at the fold and include relevant newspaper clippings from 1915, 1916 and 1944. 7 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches. 384 pages. Better than it sounds.
