A very splendid binding in fine condition. Brass clasps and edges. Embossed gilt and blind-stamped highly lavish and decorative boards and spine with gilt decoration, titles and illustration. 5 raised bands and all edges gilt. PLEASE EMAIL FOR PHOTOS. The reverse of the frontis-plate has a list of births and deaths in a neat hand in Memorandum of a Frederick Kent and Sarah Fields in the late Victorian period. Quite a common book but scarce in such fine condition. Some rubbing to the brass gilt. 32x25x6 cms.. 1st edition. Hardback. Fine. 4to.
