Toronto: George Virtue, 1885. Cloth Bound. Good. 2 vols.: 236; 234, xxxii p. 32 cm. 32 steel engravings (incl. the 1 issued with the Jubilee supplement at the end of vol. 2). Red cloth hardcover with black and gold impressing to front, blank impressing to rear. All edges gilt. Corners bumped and spine ends chipped. Some foxing within, esp. tissue guards. Tear in frontispiece tissue guard in vol. 1.

Tells the story of Queen Victoria's childhood, youth, accession, coronation, marriage, attempts on her life, children, visits abroad, death of Prince Albert, births of grandchildren, etc. Still lovely books, if a bit worn.
