London, UK: Smith, Elder & Co, 1882. Hardcover. Very Good. 4to - over 9¾ - 12" tall. People's Edition. 80pp, portrait frontispiece, black and white photographic plates. Burgundy cloth-covered boards, black titles to front, gilt titles to spine. Printed in double columns. 4to. A large and heavy volume which will require an additional charge for oversea delivery. Sun-faded spine, bumped and split spine ends and some soiling. Bumped block edges, some discolouration to front board, slight soiling and denting to rear board. Top text block edge dusty, remaining edges starting to tan and fox. Endpapers foxed and tanned, front has 7cm tear. Internal pages starting to tan and fox and showing signs of fingering.
