Hardcover, issued without dust jacket. xi, [i], 234 pages + adverts., with 16 full color plates; bound in half red morocco and green cloth boards, gilt lettering and bands to spine. The life of John Mytton (1796-1834), illustrated with attractive chromo plates with huntingscenes and transport by carriage through the country side, including several animated scenes in ballrooms. Written by the famous British sportsman and sportsjournalist of the day, Charles James Apperley (1778-1843), who wrote under the name "Nimrod". Some toning from leather binding, else very good overall condition. No owner marking, NOT EX-LIBRARY. (front r,s)
