By Corwin Knapp Linson.Ian Maclaren (pseudonym of Rev. John Watson; (1850-1907) was a Scottish author and theologian. He studied theology and in 1874 he entered the ministry of the Free Church of Scotland and became assistant minister of Edinburgh Barclay Church. Subsequently he was minister at Logiealmond in Perthshire and at Glasgow, and in 1880 he became minister of Sefton Park Presbyterian Church, Liverpool, from which he retired in 1905. We have just purchased a complete private collection of beautiful Religious books some not read - A very good copy with fine decorative front board - the spine in almost very good condition with floral gilt as front - all printing fine a little shelflife to top/tail of spine. The endpapers with no name/inscription with an odd tan spot. Uncut edges with very clean gilt to top edges - boards with bevelled edges with minor rubbing to corners. All coloured illustrations are tissue guarded.extra postage required as heavy book just under 2 kilos - Guaranteed posting within 24hrs. from Cornwall ST183.
