Octavo red cloth gilt titles with black stamped design of angry men in rowboats threatening passing paddle steamer (professionally repaired in 2003), ownership label "Charles Clegg" tipped in and pencil inscription "May 21, 83" on rear free endpaper, xxv+561+32 pages of publisher's ads, dated Mar. 1883. *Beautifully restored copy in modern plain cardboard slipcase (referenced by: BAL 3410).
