Stated Limited Edition page following pg. 128; no. 641 of 2387 copies; c. 1934, same year on title page. Tan slipcase w/ paste-on title on spine shows only light rubbing & edge wear, label intact & has inked copy no. No cracks, separation or fray. Original glassine book protector shows some wrinkle & 2 x 3"" corner chip at top right front panel. Cream board binding excellent - tight, bright, clean & square. Gilt spine title & stamped cover decoration unmarred. Attractive old contemporaneous pictorial owner bookplate inside front cover - to me, kind of adds to copy's appeal. Number penned at bottom of inside back cover- minor. Text is tight, bright, clean & unmarked. Top edge of text block bright gilt; side & bottom edges are rough-cut. Great copy- displays very well.

Synopsis

The Life of Our Lord: Written for His Children During the Years 1846 to 1849 by Charles Dickens was actually not intended to be a published work, and is simply a father explaining the life of Christ to his children, in his own words.
