London: John Murray, 1835. First illustrated edition, 1835. Remarkably well kept complete set of ten volumes in fine bindings signed by both Bayntun and Lauriat. Full maroon straight grained morocco leather with extensive gilt decoration, dual spine labels, all edges gilt, gilt tooled inner dentelles, marbled endpapers, two ribbon bookmarks in each volume, books just more than 6.5 inches tall. Also includes a hand colored frontis plate and hand colored additional engraved title in each volume, numerous folding facimile documents and plates. Color unfaded, gilt bright, tight bindings, verso of front free endpapers and preliminary blanks and half-titles have some modest age darkening, clean pages, no names or other markings. Note that the photos of the color plates have a yellowish cast; they are actually a creamy white. Externally fine, internally near fine.. First Illustrated Edition. Hard Cover. Near Fine. 16mo - over 5¾" - 6¾" tall.
