New York: The Limited Editions Club. Fine+. 1974. Limited Edition. Hardcover. 1679 of 2000 copies signed by Robert Quackenbush. 475th publication of LEC and the 10th of the 41st series. The Book is in very fine (new condition) with complete original glassine jacket in a fine slipcase with just some slight fading. Original monthly letter no 475 (titled “Parson Weems”) laid in. Introduced by Henry Steele Commager and illustrated with woodcuts in one and two colours by Robert Quackenbush. Designed by Richard Ellis and printed by A Colish and set in monochrome Modern 8A and Caslon Open. Printed on special Curtis soft rag paper and bound by Tapley-Rutter Company in full white cotton printed with an allover Colonial pattern in dark blue with a gold stamped black skiver label. 274 pages, 7 ½ x 10 ¾ inches. A Mint book with original glassine and monthly letter in a fine slipcase. Very collectable. ; Small 4to 9" - 11" tall; 274 pages; Signed by Illustrator .
