Macmillan and Co., Limited, 1907. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1907. Pocket Edition. 301 pages. No dust jacket. Macmillan's Pocket Library. Burgundy cloth with gilt decoration to front board and spine. Pages are bright with moderate tanning and foxing to free endpapers and text block edges. Pencil inscription to front free endpaper, with a few small nicks along text block edge. Occasional thumb-marking present throughout. Hinge is slightly cracked with binding exposed. Binding remains firm. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with notable bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Heavy tanning to spine and edges, with visible crushing to spine ends. Book has a pronounced forward lean. Gilt lettering is darkened on spine.
