Paris: Imprimerie Gaillac-Monrocq, c. 1950. Route map advertising steamship services between France and West Africa, 112 x 78 cm, printed in colours, a couple of closed tears, lined on linen. Advertising postal, passenger, and cargo services between Marseille and West Africa. The SS Canada was built for the Fabre Line in 1911 and taken out of service in 1952; during the Second World War she served as a hospital ship. The Frassinet and Fabre lines both sailed out of Marseilles, and had a complex, intertwined commercial relationship on either side of the war. Map
