About This Item
1963. SAVAGE, Mary. A LIKENESS TO VOICES. NY: Torquil/Dodd, Mead & Co., [1963]. 8vo., light-blue cloth in dust jacket. First Edition. A tale of modern witchcraft involving one of the most talented cats ever to survive 2,000 life cycles. Signed presentation from Savage on the front endpaper: "For Margaret & Noel- Because the really hard work on this book (i.e. revising) was happily done in your upstairs witch-haven. Love, Mary Savage. 3/19/63." The small address label of Mrs. Mercedes H. Perez of Santa Barbara is on the front pastedown. On the rear panel of the dust jacket is states that this novel was written while the author and her husband were living in Santa Barbara- so Mrs. Perez's house may be that location. Very Good (contents clean & tight with minor spotting top edge); some damage along front flap fold (tears & wear) with a few other minor chips) d/j. Scarce to locate an autographed copy! $125.00.
