New York: Dodd, Mead and Company. Very Good in Very Good dust jacket. 1945. First Edition; First Printing. Hardcover. A two volume set in dust jackets and slipcase. Blue cloth with matching topstain. Unmarked copies in sound bindings. Volume I with errata slip tipped in between pages 210-211. Frontispiece portraits and black-and-white photos. The dust jacket to Volume One has chipping to the top of the front panel. Modest rubbing, and a nick to the rear panel. The dust jacket to Volume Two has two small chips to the spine. Publisher's price of $7.50 to the front flaps. The pictorial slipcase is worn but intact, with a split along the top edge. .
