Panoramic history of Australia from the birth of the commonwealth to its climactic ordeal by fire in the First World War. 14 colour illustrations, 35 black-and-white drawings, and 6 textual drawings. Tall octavo. Original rust cloth binding, with gilt titles. The boards are slightly bowed, with a bit of wear to the corners and tips. Some sun fading along the spine of the dust jacket; otherwise very good.
