About This Item
New York: Harcourt Brace, 1938. Fascinating account of the Lindberghs' flight from Africa to Brazil in 1933 in a fragile-looking pontoon plane (pictured), the type that became known as the Lockheed Sirius. The author's second book. Charles Lindbergh contributed a foreword, dust jacket design, maps, and appendix listing equipment and log. Very good (wear to spine, white stain at bottom of spine) in fair dust jacket (badly edgeworn and missing chips at spine and corners, now with protective cover). Good reading copy for the aviation or Lindbergh enthusiast.. 1st Edition. Hard Cover.
