About This Item
New York: Bill Henry, 1853. Unbound. Very Good. Color lithograph. Size is 12.5" X 17". Image size is 9" X 14". This litho was folded into the 1854 edition of the 2 volume "History of the World " by Samuel Mauder. The print is shows the building that housed one of the first world's fairs. It was rebuilt and stood until 1936 when it burned down. Various editions of the 2-volume set also included lithos of the New York Crystal Palace and San Francisco (also available from Asterisk Books). .The print has a close tear running into the left side of the image. The tear has been repaired from behind with removable archival paper tape. A couple of the fold lines show light browning. The print is eminently frameable with very attractive subtle coloring. The print will ship folded.
