Odana Editions Proprietary Ltd, North Sydney, 1978. First Edition. Hardcover (Original Cloth). Good Condition/Good. Illustrator: Frank Hinder. 156 pp., editor's note, introduction by John Henshaw, illustrated catalogue and index. Dark brown coloured endpapers. The text is illustrated with both coloured and black and white reproductions of Frank Hinders' work along with a section of working drawings. Beige coloured boards with gilt writing on the spine. Dust marks to the top board and paper of the book and slight shelf wear is evident to the bottom. Handling marks to the internal pages of the book. Black and white illustrated dustwrapper, again illustrated by Frank Hinder, with buff coloured at ground and black and grey writing on the front panel and black on the spine. Corners of the dustwrapper are slightly rubbed and there is minor chipping to the top of spine, but there are two small tears to the back panel with associated creasing and a small loss of dust wrapper. Along the bottom of the front panel there is a mark that runs the full width of the front panel which looks like ?oil. Back panel has a stain which measures 7.5" x 3.25". "Frank Hinder, a pioneer of Australian abstraction and destined to become deeply involved in the development of modern art in Australia.". A retrospective of this pioneer's lithographs.
