""Christmas 1954"" written on title page in pencil, else a Fresh, unmarked copy. Very nice, unclipped ($2.00) jacket with a couple tiny scuffs and one 1/2-inch tear. Illustrated by Barbara Cooney. A lonely little fir tree, standing by itself at the edge of the forest, has its life transformed when a father takes it home to serve as a living Christmas tree for his bedridden son.
