London: D. Appleton-Century Company, Inc., 1938. First US Edition/First Printing. Hardcover. Very Good /Good. Charmingly illustrated volume. True first issue with same date on title and copyright page and with (1) on last page. In green cloth with black to type and illustration. Cloth somewhat discolored and foxing to top page ends with a few marks to front page ends. Sharp corners, clean interior and solid binding. Illustrated endpapers . Jacket is unclipped with $2.50 price inked out. A couple larger chips to head of spine ad bottom of front panel and smaller chips to heel of spine, top of front panel and corners. Some shor tears and nicks as well as small stains/smudges to spine and panels.
