New York: Grosset & Dunlap (1914). Hardcover with gray cloth boards, blue and black decorations and titles, 322 pages + 6 pages "Something About Amy Bell Marlowe and Her Books for Girls" + 2 pages of publisher's advertisements. No dust jacket, if issued. Endpapers discolored; pages toned, small slip of notebook paper with "June 1, 1945" affixed to FFEP, otherwise unmarked. Solidly bound; hinges a bit loose; spine sunned, with a slight lean. Covers age worn, with a couple of small white stains on front cover, corners bumped. 1" closed tear at fore edge on page 84; 1/2" closed tears at top edges of pages 191-194.

ABOUT THE BOOK: Nancy Nelson is an orphan who receives money from a lawyer for her needs but she hasn't any idea who she is and where she came from. She's "A Little Miss Nobody." This is the story of Nancy's search for her identity as aided by friends she sets out to find the truth.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Amy Bell Marlowe was a pseudonym used by the Stratemeyer syndicate from 1914 to 1933.
