London: Cassell (New Boys' Library), 1928. First Edition . Cloth. Very Good/Good. H.M. Brock. Hardback: dj (unclipped), frayed on edges, small hole on spine, some rubbing on the front, split on folds which are held together by loose plastic sleeve, on rear and flaps lists of children's books, vg beige cloth decorated and lettered in black, some light internal and foredge foxing, else vg. thick 8vo, 213pp. Colour frontispiece (almost loose) + 3 b/w plates by H.M. BROCK. The Little Regiment (Le Regiment Royal Dauphin), forerunner of the Scout Movement, was founded by the Abbe Antheaume before and during the French Revolution for the sons of good families loyal to King Louis 16th.
