First edition First state, 8vo., yellow cloth, decorated endpapers, pages bulking at 1st state, 1" on better grade paper stock vs 1 1/4" on cheaper, thicker paper stock. Color plates throughout. A very good attractive copy, showing general light use [some professional archival repair & evidence of some early more primitive retouching to the covers]. This very prized copy is autographed on the Cowardly Lions Half-Title page by Judy Garland [Dorothy], Bert Lahr [The Cowardly Lion], Ray Bolger [Scarecrow], [the "Wicked Witch", Margaret Hamilton not present] but Billie Burke [Glinda - everyone's favourite Witch] is & her signature is rarely encountered, Jack Haley [The Tin Man ] & [The Wizard himself] Frank Morgan, aka John R. Neill present as well.
