About This Item

The Literary Guild of America, Inc., 1937. Very Good condition. Early quality reprint edition from the Literary Guild. No dustjacket, Bound in dark green pebbled cloth with gold gilt lettering and design on the spine and embossed animal head in center of front covers. All edges of binding and text block (as well as the corners) show handling and shelf wear but the covers and spine are still beautiful. Book is protected by mylar to prevent further degradation. The binding is tight and there are no ownership marks except for one small pencil erasure at the top of the front fly leaf. Pages show faint age toning along the top edge. Overall a solid, clean copy showing minimal signs of use for its age. Because of weight, price includes extra postage required for Media Mail. Photo is of the copy we have here at Barbed Wire Books.

An Account of those Land Animals in America, north of the Mexican Border, which are considered "Game," either because they have held the Attention of Sportsman, or received the Protection of Law.
