Charles Whittingham, for John Sharpe, 1806. Hardcover. Acceptable. 1806. No Edition Stated. 152 pages. Brown tree calf with gilt titles to spine. Vol VII. With illustrated frontispiece. Note: a heavily damaged book with loose front board. Pages are rather marked with pronounced tanning and foxing, plus thumbing. Pencil inscriptions to front endpaper. A few dog-eared corners. Heavy water staining to first few pages. Intense cracking to hinges. Boards have heavy edge wear, with bumping and fraying to corners and almost total loss of edge tooling. Spine ends are crushed and frayed. Joints worn too. Large loss of spine leather with visible gatherings and possible fire damage. Front board almost detached. Scratched, rubbed and marked overall.
