About This Item

Simon & Schuster. New York. 2003. Quarter-bound in black with black boards and gilt lettering to spine. HRC name is embossed on front board. Not sure what all the black is about but book appears "as new". Unclipped ($28.00) jacket is likewise fine, almost like new condition. Later printing now protected with removable mylar cover. In order of service: first lady of the U.S. to president Bill Clinton (1993-2001), U.S. Senator from New York (2001-2009), 67th U.S. secretary of state (2009-2013) and the first women to win a presidential nomimation in 2016 by a major U.S. political party. Think what you may, but she has spent her life serving this country.6.25x9.5 in. 562 pg. with Index.

Synopsis

Living History is the autobiography of Secretary of State, former United States Senator from New York, and former First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton, published in 2003. In December 2000, Simon & Schuster agreed to pay Clinton a reported $8 million advance for what became Living History — a near-record figure to an author for an advance at that time. Critics charged that the book deal, coming soon after her election to the U.S.
