Paris, France: Chambre Syndicale des Editeurs de Livres d'Art, 1927. First Edition. Softcover. Near Fine. 4to 11" - 13" tall. Preface by Clement-Janin, the noted French artist and art critic and historian. Overall Very Good condition copy in printed, black-lettered wraps that are further protected by glassine wraps, both being the original publisher's. Unpaginated, but roughly 200 pp., and with lovely period ads and plentiful illustrations in black-and-white and full color, featuring the work of several remarkable artists. Only three issues of this remarkable periodical were ever published, showcasing "specimens of recently published French works, including title pages and illustrations." Includes Raoul Dufy, Robert de Diable, Gandon, Hermann-Paul, Maillaud, Marchand, Picasso, Simeon, and many, many more. Previous owner's book-plate at frontis, else a structurally sound, lovely copy in tall softcover quarto format. Internally quite bright and clean, with some pages yet untrimmed.Member, I.O.B.A., C.B.A., and adherent to the highest ethical standards. Additional postage may be required for oversize or especially heavy volumes, and for sets.
