About This Item

Eon Productions / United Artists, 1973. [Movie Memorabilia] ORIGINAL LOBBY CARDS. A set of eight numbered U.S. lobby cards, regular size, from the film 'Live and Let Die', directed by Guy Hamilton, starring Roger Moore, Jane Seymour, and Yaphet Kotto. Stated 'Litho in U.S.A.', displaying the LPIU Cleveland logo. Colour lithographic images on medium stock measuring approximately 11 x 14 inches, housed in a collector's gilt-titled protective black cloth case. (8) A few tiny marks else a clean, fine set. Originals carry the LPIU printer union diamond motif. The 1980 re-release cards display the GAU printer union logo. This is the 'East Hemisphere' version, printed for use in one half of the world, with Saltzman given top billing above Broccoli. Cards marked "WEST HEMI" were used in the other half of the world with the billing reversed. 'WEST' versions carry a PG rating box with the NSS number and omit the 'COLOR' reference. From the James Bond collection of Ian Fleming bibliographer Jon Gilbert, with accompanying provenance. His encyclopaedic guide to the works of Ian Fleming (2012) won the 16th Breslauer Prize for bibliography.
