About This Item

Scotland yjls Young, John. Lochlomond side and other poems. Glasgow: George Gallie, 1872, viii, 176p. Green cloth with gilt lettering and top and side paper edges. There is some foxing on title page and flyleaf. There is a bookplate on front lining paper with name scratched off. The motto is "Nil penna sed usus" –Not the pen but its use. I would guess it is a Scottish Gilmour bookplate, supported in part by the initials "A.G., 1872" on the flyleaf. $27.50 Box 8080
