There is some fading to the spine's gilt stamping, but the front board's remains bright. Only very minor shelf-wear. Includes two foldout maps, one of which (Maffei Compound of Baden State Railways) has been misfolded and has some resulting wear at the edge. Includes lots of fantastic B&W illustrations. 817 pp. Miscellaneous.

Modest rubbing to corners and spine extremities. Former owner's signature in pencil on front flyleaf. Text block edges soiled from use, but interior is generally clean and intact, including multiple folding plates, excepting pp. 95-96, which shows approx. 40% loss. Scarce first edition of an oft-reprinted railroadiana classic..
