Backstrip very slightly darkened, occasional foxing in the lower margins. A very good copy in the original, lightly worn slipcase. § Limited to 1500 copies, signed by the illustrator, Edward Wilson, on the colophon. Introduction by William Beebe. Printed at the Franklin Printing Company, Philadelphia. The novel is an exotic romance about a traveler to the Guyana jungle of southeastern Venezuela and his encounter with a forest-dwelling girl named Rima. It was adapted into a 1959 film starring Audrey Hepburn.
