A very fine and clean copy. III, (3), 91 pp. First printing of Nagel's important Ph.D. dissertation of the logic of measurement with a interesting presentation inscription to Samuel Skulsky, the famous Jewish philosopher of science and logic. Nagel's approach to the philosophy of science was through its techniques, procedures and its methodology. Along with Rudolf Carnap, Hans Reichenbach, and Carl Hempel, he is sometimes seen as one of the major figures of the logical positivist movement.
