[xiv], xii, 191 pp. Complete with 190 wood-engraved plates, including 54 full paged plates (incl. half-title and frontispiece), all with captioned tissue guards. 146 wood-engraved illustrations in the text as well as pictorial initials. Original decorative cloth. Skillfully rebacked with brown leather, using the original backstrip. A bit of light spotting here and there. Covers rubbed at the edges. Occasional neat repairs to page edges. A very good copy of a scarce edition. Please ask for photo's.. -(One of the greatest of all illustrated books and certainly the most vivid representation of Victorian London in all its aspects.).
