Chicago: Rand McNally & Company. Good+. 1890. 1st Edition. Hardcover. First edition bound in black cloth and boards. 12mo size, 123pp + ads at rear. A Good+ copy. Binding a little rubbed at the tips and corners . Owner's bookplate on the front fly. The acidic paper is quite browne d and somewhat fragile at the edges. The title page has shaken loose a nd been reattached with document repair tape. It also has some small, shallow chips to the bottom edge of the blank margins on the same page . The preface page also has some tiny chips to the blank margins of th e page and has also been reinforced with a piece of document tape. The rest of the text is undamaged and firmly attached although as mention ed, somewhat brittle at the edges. A scarce and uncommon Utopian Novel of the Victorian era. .
