This is the Second Printing [stated "Reprinted. November 1917"]. which can also be called a First Edition Thus, since Dent reset the type and added a new Preface by Conrad, along with a frontis portrait. The first issue was very small; scarce in any printing. Green cloth binding, decorated with decorative stamping in black on the front cover and spine; titling on the spine in gilt. Clean text; ix, 420 pages. Very light wear, with the gilt dulled on the spine; bubbling to the covers. No dustwrapper; in an archival plastic protector.. Second Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good (Plus)/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
