About This Item

London: Grant Richards. London, Grant Richards, 1901. First Edition. First Impression. Hardback. A very good copy. Likely some variant of the first impression. Eight pages before the content comprising endpaper, blank, title and contents, then pages 1-492 (and an endpaper). No adverts, so no misspelling. Locke doesn't note this variant. TEG, spine lettering black. Boards in nice shape, just a bit bruised and marked, tips bumped. A little spotting to the endpapers but largely in very good shape. [10066, Hyraxia Books]. . Very Good. Hardback. 1st Edition. 1901.

Synopsis

In the Calle Las Gabias - one of those by-streets of Lisbon below St. Catherine - there occurred one New Year a little event in the Synagogue there worth a mention in this history of Richard, Lord of the Sea.
