Harper & Brothers, NY 1898, H.C. (no d.j.) VERY GOOD! Subtitled "A Romance," one of several by the author. "Lorraine," the girl, the forest, France and…War. Green cloth over boards cover with orange & blue imprint forming design on fr.; orange lettering on spine. Fr. cover has full width pastedown of former owner org, on front, small worn pastedown at base of spine; covers have moderate corner wear light bumps, spine curls and edge wear. Former owners' names, prices, etc., on inside fr. cover & f.f.e.p. and a couple of split exist between pages. Other book is in excellent condition, especially for its age with pages very lightly tanned: VERY GOOD! (HH3-1, Hampton, NH USA)
