Baltimore: Publish America, 2007. First Edition. 213 pages. Inscribed by the author: "To Richard of Alcuin Books, "the original lost sheep" with best regards, Bettie Anne Doebler. 4/24/08". Laid in is the original two typed pages of her novel that originally was to be entitled "Back to the Books" with her handwritten corrections (see image). Issued only in a small paperback edition, this novel is set in Cornwall and Oxford when Ellen, a scholar from America some upon a mystery akin to issues rooted in 17th century England and still faced today in terms of unexplained death. Doebler was a specialist on the issues of death in Elizabethan England. Bound in pictorial stiff paper wraps. Near fine.
