Author and former RCAF pilot J.A. Foster takes you to the beginning in 1909, just six years after the success at Kitty Hawk, when the first manned flying machine to operate successfully within the British Empire flew at Baddeck, Nova Scotia. He docu-ments the period between the wars when the Royal Canadian Air Force was officially founded, through to the massive Canadian support in World War II, the Cold War and to the present, when detente means - perhaps unwisely - a reduction in air force personnel and units." Very light wrinkling at top/bottom of spine. Dust jacket has some minor edge wrinkling, minor rubbing.. First Edition. Hard Cover. Very Good+/Very Good+.
