About This Item

New York: Simon and Schuster, 1931. First American Edition. Hardcover in Dust Jacket. Fine/Very Good. 8vo. Pp. 448. Bound in bright blue cloth with gilt lettering on front board and spine. In the price-clipped dust jacket that shows insignificant wear at head of spine, which is a tad darkened. Translated from the Dutch by Winifred Katzin. The dust jacket, with a moderne line drawing of a prostrate man amid a landscape and red lettering, has done a bang-up job protecting the cloth binding: It's especially fresh. Dust jacket now enclosed in a removable, clear archival sleeve.
