The text is illustrated with wonderful full page and occasional double page illustrations by Jean Claverie. Illustrated front cover, again by Jean Claverie, with brown background and black titles to the front panel and back strip. Minor bumping and rubbing to the head and to the heel of the back strip and to the book corners. There is a small nick to the lower edge of the front boards. Remainder mark to the lower text block edge. Illustrated dustwrapper, using the same illustration as for underlying boards. Black titles to the front panel and to the back strip. Rubbing and a little chipping to the head and to the heel of the back strip and to the dustwrapper corners. A little creasing and marking to the laminate of the dustwrapper. A retelling of the 17th-century French fairy tale writer Charles Perrault's story of Riquet of the Quiff and his lady love. This is the first UK edition. Size: 4to 9¾" - 12" tall.
