The book is tight with solid hinges, good tips, and clean boards. The textblock is clean with no writing or bookplate and not BCE, ex-library, or remaindered. The dust jacket is unclipped ($21.95) with two tiny pen dots on the back (see photos). Dust jacket is also first state with back cover blurbs by Margot Livesey and Michael Chabon and "0702" on the bottom of the front flap. Protected in a new Brodart Mylar cover. 328 pages. 5¾ x 8½"

Synopsis
The Lovely Bones is a 2002 novel by Alice Sebold. It is the story of a teenage girl who, after being brutally raped and murdered, watches from heaven as her family and friends go on with their lives, while she herself comes to terms with her own death. The novel received a great deal of critical praise and became an instant bestseller. A film adaptation of the novel is currently in post-production and is being directed by Peter Jackson, who personally purchased the rights.
