New York: Harper & Brothers, Publishers, 1905. First American edition, the same year as the English. 8vo., original mauve cloth, decorated in gilt, light green, olive green and aquamarine. Lovely art nouveau binding, much different to that of the English edition. The author's only finished novel, abeit much revised and "cut" as published here. With characters based directly upon Swinburne himself and his family. Smalll ink name, some light pencil marks in margins, corners of covers lightly bumped, slight spatter to spine, else a very good copy. Ashley Library VI, pp. 207-9. Wise 108..
