Illustrator: Various. 920 g; pp. [x], 212; illustrated end pages, portrait frontispiece, numerous illustrations (many full-page, several coloured), 4 appendices; a nice copy in dustwrapper, with very slight rubbing of the edges of the dust jacket, and a quarter inch tear at the top of the front fold over. Internally clean, no damage to describe otherwise. The Hundred years of Tattersalls Sweeps involves, not only the "rags to riches" story of the founder George Adams, but also the epic struggles of Tattersalls against State and Federal government attempts to outlaw the enterprise.
