About This Item
Story of the daughter of Pope Alexander VI and here referred to by the publisher as the "Complete" edition with 112 illustrations and a commentary. Gray boards with spine and upper board lettering gilt, 12mo, pp. x, 362. Attractive red title page vignette. Those familiar with this book will be aware of the text portion's very thin paper. Indeed, we would almost call it fragile. A couple of random scratches on book's front panel with no tears or loss. Book in Good sound condition overall. Acceptable tan dust jacket, with a woodcut illustration, is likewise of a thin quality, and the upper edge of the rear panel has a bit of creasing and a short tear. Additionally, small white spots (could someone have spilled white-out nearby long ago?) are scattered randomly on the rear. Jacket now ensconced it in new archival Brodart.
