A SUPERB TWO VOLUME ALBUM OF MA'S 100 BIRD PAINTINGS . . . *** THE ARTIST: MA DAI 1886-1937]: Ma was a Shanghai art theorist and educator, professor of Shanghai Mei Zhuan and taught painting. He was especially versed in northern style landscape, with neat layout, and skilled in rendering deep illustrations. . Ma also did drawings of the war, which was published in 1928. . *** CONDITION: The 2 volume set is bound in publisher's original stitched buff limp wrappers, with title slips.
