Near fine. <p>A reprint of the 1980 edition.<p>Inscribed by the photographer Carol Beckwith on the front endpaper, and signed in full "Carol Beckwith".<p>The author of the text is himself a Maasai who, after earning warrior status, spent six years in the United States studying animal ecology and lecturing and writing on the culture of the Maasai.
